Our school offers a wide range of sporting opportunities designed to inspire every student to participate, develop skills and enjoy an active lifestyle.
Through our partnership with SLP Sport, alongside other sporting organisations such as AE Sports Coaching, SAFC Foundation of Light and Durham Cricket, our children are provided with a wide range of high‑quality sporting opportunities. These experiences help pupils to develop key physical skills, teamwork, resilience and a healthy competitive spirit.
Participation in sport also promotes physical health, improves mental wellbeing, and helps students develop key life skills such as discipline, leadership and communication.
Above all, our sporting programme encourages a positive attitude, confidence and a lifelong appreciation for health and fitness.

Our school is proudly located in the village of Langley Park in County Durham, surrounded by a strong sense of community and rich local heritage. We are situated just a short distance from the vibrant city of Durham, with its historic landmarks and cultural attractions, and within easy reach of the beautiful County Durham countryside, offering green spaces and natural surroundings that enrich our pupils’ learning and experiences.

Our school values the importance of enriching learning through educational visits and welcoming a range of visitors into school.
Trips and excursions provide students with the opportunity to explore new environments, deepen their understanding of subjects, and connect classroom learning to the real world.
Whether visiting museums, participating in outdoor education, or attending cultural events, students gain memorable experiences that broaden their horizons and inspire curiosity.
In addition, we regularly invite visitors such as industry professionals, authors, and community leaders to share their expertise and experiences, helping to bring learning to life. These opportunities not only enhance knowledge but also build confidence, raise aspirations, and encourage students to think about future pathways.
