Year 4

'Encourage one another and build each other up' Thessalonians 5:11

Year 4 is a springboard where children move on from their first year in Key Stage 2 and are already totally familiar with the routines and expectations of Key Stage 2.

At the end of Year 4 all pupils are expected to know all of their times tables facts up to and including 12 x 12. This knowledge is vital for so many aspects of mathematics and is checked with a statutory multiplication tables check. Your child will be fully prepared for this and our aim is to ensure that the knowledge of times tables your child has already learnt are built upon to prepare your child for
upper Key Stage 2.

As the rate your child learns accelerates every pupil will really be able to showcase what they are
getting better and better at.
