Music
At Langley Park Primary School our aim is to “engage and inspire pupils to develop a love of music and their talent as musicians, and so increase their self-confidence, creativity and sense of achievement.” National Curriculum 2014.
At our school, Music is a joyful and inclusive part of the curriculum, where every child is encouraged to explore their creativity and develop a love for music. Through singing, playing instruments, composing, and listening to a wide range of musical styles, pupils build their confidence and musical understanding. We follow a structured and progressive scheme that supports children in developing key skills such as rhythm, pitch, and notation, while also fostering teamwork and self-expression. Music is celebrated across the school through performances, assemblies and enrichment opportunities that inspire every child to find their voice.
